General assembly 2^nd to 6^th September 2014.

The meeting started at 6.00p.m. with the opening prayer led by Sr. Elizabeth Babalola.and animated by Sisters Bankole  Yinka, Babalola Elizabeth and Falope Anthonia.

During this assembly,

- Scriptural passages were given every evening for sisters to reflect on.

- Sisters, with quiet and reflective hearts, shared in the chapter experiences and together, Led by the Spirit of Pentecost, chose to live the Orientation

                ‘’ROOTED IN THE LOVE OF THE TRINITY’’

As Daughters of the Holy Spirit and Marie Balavenne,

Let us enter into conversation with one another, share the joy of the Gospel and build Pentecost communities where the word can continue its work in;

                                COMMUNITY

By paying attention to the word of God, speaking through;

Our personal encounter with Jesus and our creativity in prayer.

Our openness to dialogue, our respect for one another and our constant willingness to reconcile our differences.

By creating an atmosphere that promote inner silence for listening and sharing of our lived experiences.

                                FORMATION

To study;

Apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis ‘’ The Joy of the Gospel.

A book of the Bible and live out the fruit.

A document on the Blessed Trinity.

MISSION

By being authentic witnesses to the Gospel.

- Different communities also evaluated the lived orientation, NEW REALITIES/ NEW STRUCTURES, in mission, formation and community.

- There were tit bits of information from our vice-provincial, Sr. Monica Anyi and some other sisters.

 - We affirmed that it is the presence of Christ that defines us as relevant religious; we need one another in the different stages of our lives to call forth what the Spirit of Jesus is bringing to birth in our lives. We were invited to a renewed personal encounter with Christ Jesus and to be docile to His Spirit calling us  to unity and death to self through our daily inner conversion.

 Together we were grateful to God for His goodness towards us and the gifts of His Holy Spirit.
